RANGE FEES

LAKE FOREST'S FIRST AIR-CONDITIONED SHOOTING RANGE

At NSSC, we share a common philosophy: repetition builds confidence and confidence builds strength. We believe in controlling what can be controlled, and training for contingencies. A prepared mind can evaluated with more clarity, adapt more efficiently, and overcome with resolute confidence.

RENTAL GUNS

Ready to buy that first gun or thinking about adding to your firearms collection?

Look over our large selection of rental guns and try out any that interest you.

Handgun rentals range from $20-$50.
Rifle rentals range from $30-$40.
Machine gun rentals - $70.
When renting a firearm, you must purchase and use only ammunition purchased from our store.
Rental firearms may be exchanged. If they are in the same price category or below, it is $5 to switch. If you move up in price categories, you pay the difference.
Suppressor rentals - $15. You can add them to our rentals or use them on your own guns. Must use our ammo.
Vision and hearing protection can be purchased.

Please Note: In order for a customer to rent, handle, or shoot one of our rental firearms, State law requires that they be in possession of a valid FOID card AND be of legal age to handle the appropriate firearm (18 for a long gun and 21 for a handgun).

Range FAQs

WHAT ARE RANGE HOURS?

Our usual hours of operation are 9:00 am to 9:00 pm 7 days a week. The range may from time to time be closed for special events, classes, leagues, or maintenance. If you are traveling a long distance to visit, it’s best to call to ensure the range you plan to use is available.

WHAT AMMUNITION IS RESTRICTED?

Any type of ammunition designed for penetrating metal is not permitted. Tracer, incendiary, green tip, gas, explosive, and armor-piercing rounds are not permitted on the range. Shotguns must use slugs only. Steel cased ammunition is acceptable.

DO YOU FACILITATE FIREARM TRANSFERS?

We do accept firearm transfers at NorthShore Sports Club. Our transfer fee is $75 per firearm. Please do not rush in when your tracking number says the firearm was delivered. We have to enter the firearm into our books and will call you once we do. After we call you, you are free to come in and begin the transfer process.

WHAT TO EXPECT MY FIRST VISIT TO YOUR RANGE?

As a first-time visitor NorthShore Sports Club, please be aware that the initial sign-in process, which includes signing a waiver and entering your information into our database, takes a bit longer than for returning customers – and is especially true for larger groups. Our goal is to have everyone assigned to a lane in the quickest time possible
