Description

NorthShore Sports Club has established itself as the Premier Concealed Carry course, in Illinois.

Based on the USCCA approved curriculum, NSSC’s focus is to strengthen shooter’s competency from additional time on the range.

With a diverse group of instructors who strive to make the legally required 16 hour course interesting, everyone leaves with a wealth of knowledge to keep you and your loved ones safe. State approved curriculum covers everything from fundamentals such as grip and stance, to legal requirements and liabilities.

• Complimentary range time and rentals on both days.

Recommended Gear:

• Pistol: Bring your own or use a complimentary rental from one of our 90+ pistol rentals.
• Ammo: Minimum of 30 rounds. Can be purchased on-site at NSSC.

Description

If you are a new gun owner or new to the world of shooting then this class is for you. We will go over firearm safety, how firearms function, fundamentals of shooting, as well as give you training tips and tricks! This is a 2 hour class with both classroom and range time!

Recommended Gear

• Handgun. Feel free to try any of our rental handguns for this class.
• 50 rounds of ammo. Ammo can be purchased at NorthShore Sports Club.

Private Lessons

Tailored training just for you.

If you're looking for personalized attention during your training, private lessons are the perfect choice. Our certified and experienced instructors will work with you one-on-one or with a small group to focus on any curriculum you choose. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced shooter, we offer training in a variety of areas, including safety, fundamentals, defensive shooting, holster work, and more – for handguns, rifles, and shotguns.

Private lessons are generally one hour long, and you’re welcome to bring a few friends or family. For groups larger than 3-4 people, we recommend a two-hour session to ensure everyone gets ample time with the instructor.

Cost:​ $125 per hour +$30 per additional student

Concealed Carry Dynamics Fundamentals (Level 1)

Intended for beginners to intermediate students.

Equipment Required

• Semi-Auto Handgun
• 2 magazines
• 150-200 rounds
• OWB/IWB Holster (Kydex Type)
• Oversized Shirt, Button Down Shirt, Polo, or Light Jacket used for Conceal Carry
• Eye/Ear Protection.

Areas Covered

1. Concealed Carry Mindset and Safety
2. Fundamentals of Basics: CC principles, stance, grip, sight pic/alignment
3. Conceal Carry Draw Flow: Step 1-3
4. Conceal Carry Draw Flow (w/movements): Stepping/Pivots
5. CCD Timing/Flow Drills

The course begins with a “Snap In” portion and students will need to demonstrate proper safety and firearms handling attributes to continue (dry fire stage). We will continue to the firing range applications.

PART 1 (dry fire stage) PART 2 (live fire range) SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT.This course is intended for personnel that want knowledge, skills, and abilities in a Conceal Carry environment.

This will be a great follow-on training upon completion of your IL CCW/CCL or if interested in CCW/CCL in the future.

Concealed Carry Dynamics Advanced (Level 2)

You must take CCD Fundamentals before you may take CCD Advanced.

Intended for beginners to intermediate students.

Beginner / Intermediate level

• 200-250 rounds
• OWB/DROP Holster (Kydex Type)
• Eye/Ear Protection.

The course requires basic gun manipulation skills. The shooter should be able to handle malfunctions and clearing the weapon. Basic shooting form and shooting skills will be covered but require students to have at least a basic understanding on use of the weapon. Drills and Skills is the focus. Shooting scenarios will be utilized to increase level of functionality/skills of the student. We will “Run & Gun” to train students on Combat Principles. SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT.

This course is intended for personnel that want knowledge, skills, and abilities in a Combat Gun/Tactical Environment. This will be a great follow-on training upon completion of your basic gun fundamentals or your basic intro to gun classes. The course is intended to increase one’s skills in Combat/Tactical situations. We gain skills through practice and drills……Functionality, Speed, and Accuracy is the focus.

Cost:​ $150 (2-Hour Course)

Combat Gun Fundamentals (Level 1)

Rifle Fundamentals (Level 1)

Intended for beginners to intermediate students.

Equipment Required

• AR15
• 2 Rifle magazines
• Mag pouch(s)
• 100-150 rounds
• Sling
• Eyes/Ears.

2. Zero verification
3. Disassembly/assembly
4. Accessorizing and maintaining an AR-15
5. Efficient operation of an AR-15
6. Improve skills and precision with AR-15
7. Ready positions specifically designed for training at 5-15 yards.
8. Classroom and Live Fire Instruction.
9. Knowledge focused training……Only requirement for the course is the willingness to learn. Focusing on the skills for safe and effective AR-15 operations.

Skills & Drills (Rifle / Handgun)

This is intended for shooters at an Intermediate / Advanced level.

Equipment Required

• Semi-Auto Handgun (with or w/o red dot)
• 3 magazines
• Pistol Mag Carriers
• 100-150 rounds
• OWB/DROP Holster (Kydex Type)
• Eye/Ear Protection
• Rifle Carbine Platform (AR Pistol acceptable)
• 2 AR Mags (3 is preferred) with carrier, sling. (Weapon lights not required but future courses will require lights)
